Maybe I should update sometime this year!
So wedding business is running somewhat smoothly. The church may or may not be be for sale, that's still to be determined. But other than that everything is falling into place. We just need to register and I think that's it for the big stuff! I have my dress and my shoes :) Jeremy is still working on his outfit, but guys can always wait until about a week before and be perfectly okay-LOSERS! haha Arkansas is treating me alright. Jodie and I are still getting along-so that's ALWAYS a plus! 14 more days of free labor and then we are guaranteed degrees! WOO-HOO! Oh and we checked out our soon to be home. It's definitely a fixer-upper but it will be ours none the less. I forgot to take pictures of the place, but we will have the before/after shots eventually. Maybe I won't wait 20 years to post up some more news!

Nothing Runs Smoothly!
So Jeremy and I had some friends come into town the other day so we thought we would show them the church/reception sites.... too bad the church is FOR SALE!!! Who sells a church anyway???? So little bit of a panic going on. Plus, have you ever tried registering??? Talk about a pain in the rear! We were at the Wal-Mart in my hometown and I was told "just go online" and not given much help. So I walked to the back where the kiosk normally is to make sure people can still print off out list.... IT DOESN'T WORK! I asked the lady standing by it what was going on, to which she said "oh the old one broke, WM sent a new one and it isn't compatible, so 'they' just decided we didn't need one and tell customers to print and register online." My first response was , well that's just stupid!!!! The lady agreed. Then I called another WM nearby, their machine just broke and it's "supposed to get fixed sometime, we just don't know when." What the crap! So I call the WM in Paris and they said the EXACT SAME THING!! So much for trying to be convenient for everyone! So we decided oh well, we'll just register at "walmart.com".....that would just be too easy, now wouldn't it!!! Because the dishes we love, love, love there are only sold in the store so you can't register for them!!!! Grrrr! I am almost ready to protest WM all together!!!

Little by little...
So I have been semi-productive in the wedding process this past week and not-so-productive with updating! I can't post any pics because Jeremy and I want to be old fashioned :) But it is GORGEOUS!!! (too bad the people were less than nice!) So I was at David's Bridal with my mom, Liz, and Emily and the 'consultant' picked out 4 dresses for me to try on. I guess she was expecting more of a show because I tried all 4 in on in 15 minutes! The lady kept trying to get me to buy all this "foo-foo" as I like to say stuff and I kept saying no to all of it so she just disappeared on me! Luckily the winning dress ended up being the first one I tried on but once the lady came back around she did bring 2 more dresses just to disappear again! I think she caught on that she wouldn't make a huge sale with me (probably because I'm a nerd and I read my Bridal Bargains book and learned all the tricks for them to get you to buy stuff you don't need!) So when the lady FINALLY decided to ask what I thought, I said I was done and wanted my matron-of-honor (Liz) to try on dresses. She asked me when I wanted to come back!!! Okay keeping in mind they set aside an hour and a half for one fitting and it had only been 45 minutes! I was a little frustrated at this point and snapped back with why can't we do it now????? Then she disappeared off only to bring dresses TWO sizes too big for Liz!!!! Then, surprise, surprise, we couldn't find her! So I took it upon myself to rummage through the racks to find the sizes that Liz wanted but the lady wouldn't pull for her! But we managed to get everything that we needed with or without my 'consultants' help! Whew! And I managed to get my matron-of-honor's outfit and the ring bearer's all in one day!!! And I am finalizing a deal with a photographer so we are hoping to get engagement pics done before we go in opposite directions for our next clinical :( But we have decide that invitations are way over-rated for what we are wanting so we decided that we would try the ol' DIY approach and see how that goes-what else am I going to do in Arkansas (sorry Jodie). Oh and our colors are a canary and blue, but the shade is a little hard to describe-sorry!So little by little we are getting things done, next on the list is talking to the florist and confirming the band!

THE DATE IS OFFICIAL!!!
We FINALLY got the church to set the official date and booked it! It just took my mom, me, and Jeremy to go to church on Sunday to actually talk to the owners to get it all set up! Plus we talked with the reception people and got everything taken care of. We were VERY productive this weekend and even managed to get the honeymoon booked-hello Cabo!!! So all that is left is photographer, invitations, band, a DRESS, center pieces, and, and, and.... So we have a few things done, but it takes baby steps!
okay so I don't really know to add pics, so this is my first time!!! Here is the inside of the church.

And the outside of the church....
this is the cool bar on the outside of the restaurant that we will have!
and the cool stage for our band! The dance floor is just infront of the stage and we will have a large tent to cover up everyone! It's hard to tell from these pics but the place is VERY cute!

And the outside of the church....

We Finally Have the Date Set, Except for One thing....
So we decided on Aug 22nd (mark your calendars) because it was the only date we could get for the reception place and we really, really, really like it! Okay, we LOVE it! (Thanks Mom & Dad!) Plus the people there are being super nice. We are still working on the church, which normally should be the main reason for setting the date but still having some issues. So if all else fails, we'll get hitched in a big field and have a party to celebrate! Can't get more redneck than that! But we have some AMAZING family members who have stepped in to help out with stuff and may have a band lined up (good job Mandy!) So now we just have to get the church thing settled, get me a dress, and do engagement pics, and pick invitations, and register, and mail invitations, and get a photographer.....okay so we are no where NEAR the finish line, but every little bit helps!

What to do....
So I have been a little busy lately and keep forgetting that I have this thing! So we have it down to the church and reception, now if we could get them to do what we exactly want:( The reception place is being unbelievably nice and willing to work stuff around us (sort of) but the church doesn't do evening ceremonies on Saturdays because "they have church on Sunday." I told the lady ten times that we were NOT having the reception there-just the ceremony. And she kept tell me that the latest they can book is 530. Well that works, except it will be August and a million degrees outside for the outdoor reception!!!! So now we have to decide on how to handle this. Plus the added stress on us about the date....but I don't even want to get into that. So now we have some serious brainstorming to do...but whatever it takes we WILL have our date set and our wedding booked by the end of the week (or within the 2 weeks it takes me to remember to post again!)
