Little by little...

So I have been semi-productive in the wedding process this past week and not-so-productive with updating! I can't post any pics because Jeremy and I want to be old fashioned :) But it is GORGEOUS!!! (too bad the people were less than nice!) So I was at David's Bridal with my mom, Liz, and Emily and the 'consultant' picked out 4 dresses for me to try on. I guess she was expecting more of a show because I tried all 4 in on in 15 minutes! The lady kept trying to get me to buy all this "foo-foo" as I like to say stuff and I kept saying no to all of it so she just disappeared on me! Luckily the winning dress ended up being the first one I tried on but once the lady came back around she did bring 2 more dresses just to disappear again! I think she caught on that she wouldn't make a huge sale with me (probably because I'm a nerd and I read my Bridal Bargains book and learned all the tricks for them to get you to buy stuff you don't need!) So when the lady FINALLY decided to ask what I thought, I said I was done and wanted my matron-of-honor (Liz) to try on dresses. She asked me when I wanted to come back!!! Okay keeping in mind they set aside an hour and a half for one fitting and it had only been 45 minutes! I was a little frustrated at this point and snapped back with why can't we do it now????? Then she disappeared off only to bring dresses TWO sizes too big for Liz!!!! Then, surprise, surprise, we couldn't find her! So I took it upon myself to rummage through the racks to find the sizes that Liz wanted but the lady wouldn't pull for her! But we managed to get everything that we needed with or without my 'consultants' help! Whew! And I managed to get my matron-of-honor's outfit and the ring bearer's all in one day!!! And I am finalizing a deal with a photographer so we are hoping to get engagement pics done before we go in opposite directions for our next clinical :( But we have decide that invitations are way over-rated for what we are wanting so we decided that we would try the ol' DIY approach and see how that goes-what else am I going to do in Arkansas (sorry Jodie). Oh and our colors are a canary and blue, but the shade is a little hard to describe-sorry!So little by little we are getting things done, next on the list is talking to the florist and confirming the band!

  1. Looks like you're on the right track! And speaking from experience, you'll have plenty of time here in ol' arkansas to work on your invitations!
